|
Antispyware
Soldier is a Rogue Anti-Spyware product which comes
bundled along with a malicious downloader. It is downloaded
and installed without the users consent and uses false
detections to persuade users into purchasing the product.
Once Antispyware Soldier infects a computer, it displays
an icon with a message, which says the computer is
infected with spyware and asks the user to download
Antispyware Soldier program, a malicious program distrubuted
as a spyware remover. AntiSpywareSoldier may change
the desktop settings, hijack the web browser, and
display an icon in the system tray.

Gullio Aug 6 2006, 03:01 AM - As of today, I've come
to be infected with an extremely annoying adware/spyware.
the program starts by popping up a message on the lower
right corner of the screen that says "windown security
center alert!" and then tells me that there is
spyware installed in my computer. Furthermore, the program
also continiously gives me pop-ups claiming that I have
a bunch of spy-ware files installed on my computer.
After the lower right corner pop-up appears, it re-directs
my IE to 'http://antispynet.com/'. The web-page almost
forces me to download 'anti-spyware soldier'. This,
again, happens in a very continious fashion.
